During the first week of November, WMM and The Awakening hosted the annual SEND Week
conference on the campus of Holmes Bible College in Greenville, SC. Holmes is experiencing an exciting time of growth and expansion and we were honored to catch a glimpse of what the Lord is doing on campus! SEND 2011 kicked off on November 1st with Phillip Gschwend sharing about how students can be a light in our dark world. We were thrilled to have Joshua Ben and Theresa King join us for the first time this year to share about their experiences with God’s faithfulness on the field. The students were in awe of the stories of the miracles of provision God has performed for the Kings. Amber Roy, daughter of long-time missionaries Ron and Phyllis Roy and now a missionary herself, spoke about developing intimacy with God. We were also excited to have Ben and Deysi West teach about effective ministry to unreached people groups! The Wests have served in Asia for 8 years working with unreached people groups in a closed country and have recently joined the WMM team! Max Barroso challenged students to examine their motives, rediscover the message and embrace the method of missions as reflected in the life of Christ.
