A couple
weeks ago, I had the awesome privilege to visit Emmanuel College during their
annual SEND week. SEND stands for See Every Nation Discipled and is a week that
the college sets aside every year to infuse a special emphasis on missions.
This year, I was invited to speak in a few of the Bible classes at Emmanuel!
What a great experience it was. I was able to connect with many of the students
at Emmanuel through a classroom setting, by simply sharing my testimony and
personal experiences, or by answering questions about missions work around the
world.
I was also able to connect with a
few students in particular who were interested in joining our internship
program. I am so glad to say that after speaking with them and getting to know
them through the application process, they are going to be joining The
Awakening team for our Summer Internship program this summer!
During my time spent on the
beautiful campus of Emmanuel, I was able to connect with many of the students
on a personal level and create some awesome new friendships! Throughout our
time at Emmanuel during SEND, I definitely felt an overall excitement on campus
about missions. Many students were buzzing about getting involved in missions
around the US and the globe. We are very grateful to the faculty and staff of
Emmanuel College for allowing The Awakening to pour into their student’s lives.
