TA Summer Interns arrive

The Awakening Summer Internship 2014 is officially underway. Over the weekend, The Awakening welcomed 7 new interns to Oklahoma City to join the team for the summer. The new interns will be working alongside The Awakening Staff and full-time interns for two months.

Their first journey will take them to the Cornerstone Conference in North Carolina. The Awakening Band will lead worship for Camp Dayspring's senior high week and all of the interns will serve as staff: working in all areas, from counselor to kitchen worker to recreation staff.

After the camp concludes, the team will lead their first mission trip of the summer to Haiti. While there, they will serve the local church by helping with outreach programs and ministering to children of the community.

In July, The Awakening Team will travel to Daytona Beach, Florida and participate in Youth Quest. They will also split up and lead two teams simultaneously to Costa Rica and Panama. Their final trip of the internship will take them to Hungary, where they will be a part of Euro Quest.

During their two months here, the summer interns will have the opportunity to sit under the teachings of many leaders in the denomination. The Awakening is grateful for the privilege to hear from multiple leaders including Bishop Doug Beacham.
