Youth Quest 2010

Youth Quest 2010 was a huge success for The Awakening! We had an absolute blast chatting with all of the teenagers, youth pastors and youth leaders interested in getting involved with missions. On Tuesday, National Youth Director Charles Boyd allowed our team to share our vision with all of the youth pastors and youth leaders at their morning breakout session. This was an incredible chance to communicate who we are, what we do, and how The Awakening can serve youth groups across the IPHC. We also had the opportunity to speak directly to the Youth Quest students who feel they are called to serve either on short-term teams or as career missionaries. Roughly 30 students attended the meeting and, by the end of the event, The Awakening connected with over 80 students with a heart for missions ministry! In addition to these sessions, our team was blessed to be able to share about our ministry for a few moments during the main evening service to an audience of over 1,500 teenagers!!

Throughout the week, The Awakening’s booth was packed with students and youth pastors who wanted to find out more about World Missions and how they can participate in or send teams of their own. As a result of the contacts we made at this event, The Awakening is now planning three different missions teams who are excited to spread the Gospel around the world during the Spring and Summer of 2011!! Our God was present in an awesome way at Youth Quest . We know He is just getting started with The Awakening and we cannot wait to see where He leads us next!!
